Inflatable Rental FAQ
The earlier you make your inflatable rental reservation, the better chance you’ll have at getting exactly what you want. Our website offers real-time availability, but if you see something you really want for a date it’s not available, give us a call, to see if we can figure something out.
Our inflatable rentals average 4 hours. Our inflatables are normally rented once per day. Typically, we will set up in the morning and take down your inflatable rental in the afternoon or early evening. If you plan to start your party prior to 10:00 am or end your party after 7:00 pm, give us a call as an overnight charge may apply. If our schedule will allow, we will do everything we can to meet your time requirements.
According to our safety standards, inflatable slides may only be set up on grass. Other inflatable rentals may be set up on grass or concrete/asphalt. The surface must be flat and firm. It is important that we know in advance where you plan to set up the inflatable rental(s). Depending on where setup will occur, we bring stakes or sandbags to anchor the inflatable(s).
All of our inflatable rentals are sanitary, well maintained, and comply with the ASTM F-24 committee standards for amusement rides and devices. The reality is inflatables are extremely safe when operated responsibly and installed properly.
As the only SIOTO (Safe Inflatable Operator Training Organization) certified inflatable rental company in Dallas, we take pride in placing safety first in everything we do. We will clearly communicate what your responsibilities are to make sure the party remains safe once we have completed installation.
Our number one rule is that inflatables are not babysitters; adult supervision is required at all times! It’s kind of like the grocery store… Imagine turning a dozen kids loose in grocery store for a few hours without supervision… Yikes! Danny can’t even take his eyes off Hoot at the store, the last time he did, Hoot made a whipped cream snowman in frozen foods and neither of them are welcomed back to the Piggly Wiggly.
There should always be someone supervising any inflatable. Hoot and Danny’s, LLC can provide an attendant for an additional charge, but any responsible adult is capable of operating an inflatable after a brief training session. A safety checklist to use as a reminder for supervisor responsibilities will also be provided during the initial setup.
Yes! Hoot and Danny’s, LLC is fully insured for general liability coverage. We are only responsible for any negligence on our part. In reserving your inflatable you will be required to sign a rental agreement that lists specific terms and conditions of the inflatable rental.
Yes! We are fully licensed, registered, insured, and inspected in the state of Texas, as can be verified by contacting the Texas Department of Insurance Amusement Ride Division at (512) 322-4326.
Inflatable rental cancellations for non-weather related reasons are allowed, but must be communicated by speaking with a Hoot and Danny’s representative at 469-847-1207 or sent to danny@hootdanny.com 48 hours prior to your scheduled delivery time. Cancellations made after this window are subject to a fee of 50% of total inflatable rental price.
In case of inclement weather, there will be no charge for rescheduling or cancelling inflatable rentals. A Hoot and Danny’s, LLC representative will contact you a few days before your event to discuss the forecasted weather conditions. If it is normal Texas weather, which is always unpredictable, we will be on the phone with you the day of your event and will leave the decision up to you. Please note that once we show up to your location with your inflatable rental, full payment will be required regardless of the weather conditions.
As much hassle as rescheduling a party can be, we believe safety and fun are the only must have items for a successful party.
Please evacuate the inflatable unit, turn off the blower, unplug the blower from the power source and move the blower out of the rain. Once the rain stops, attach the blower to the inflatable unit, plug the blower up to the power source, turn on the blower to inflate unit, and dry the inside of the inflatable before allowing bouncers to enter.
Continuing to use inflatables and/or electrical equipment in inclement weather can be extremely dangerous and Hoot & Danny’s, LLC will not be held liable for any accidents or injuries that occur due to continued operation in high winds, rain, or other adverse weather conditions.
Each of our inflatables is cleaned and sanitized following every use. We expect to receive our inflatables back in fairly clean condition. We understand that bouncers will track in grass from their socks. There is no fee for cleanup of items such as these. However, if there is evidence of food, drink(s), glitter, or any other prohibited materials as listed in your inflatable rental agreement and the pre-delivery check list, you will be subject to a cleanup fee of $100.
Silly String is prohibited in, on, or around our inflatables. Because Silly String causes irreversible damage to an inflatable, a full replacement fee will be applied if evidence of Silly String is found in or on our inflatable unit(s). The replacement fee is the new cost of the inflatable including shipping from the manufacturer. Seriously though, Silly String is awful for kids’ health, the environment, your sanity, and is one of those things from our childhood that should have stayed there. Try bubbles, water guns, or water balloons instead.
What items/materials are prohibited inside the inflatable unit(s)?
Generally speaking, no food or drink, no shoes, no sharp objects, no visible metal zippers, no glitter or face-paint, no sand, and no persons with medical conditions including pregnancy. Roughhousing, hanging or pulling on the netting, and flips are ground for immediate dismissal from the inflatable. We will provide a safety checklist upon arrival.
Absolutely! You will need to reserve the area, get permits (if necessary), and complete all necessary paperwork. If a generator is necessary, we can provide one for an additional cost. Your city may require 10 days or more notice for a bounce house permit for park use, and a generator may be mandatory. The city may also have a permit fee you have to pay, for example, the city of Dallas requires a $30 per hour rate responsible to the party host in order to set up an inflatable in Dallas parks. These permits and fees must be arranged and paid by you, since you will be using the park, but give us a call and we will do our best to help guide you through the process.
Depending on the situation, if the inflatable rental is damaged due to a preventable circumstance (an animal chewed on it, someone cut or punctured it with a knife or a sharp object on their clothes) a repair fee or in some cases a complete replacement fee, will be incurred.
These things are tough, but if your kid’s are like ours, they can destroy anything… So keep an eye on them, especially the little Hoot’s, these are the ones carrying unauthorized rocks, sticks, hot wheels, screw drivers and other instruments of mayhem. We suggest a thorough pat down and pocket reveal on any of these toy smugglers.
Upon reserving equipment either full payment or a deposit of $50.00 is required. We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and checks. Payment is due in full upon delivery, PRIOR to setup of equipment.
Very minimal, as illustrated in the example below:
Example:
A 1hp inflatable blower is running at 115Volts at 7.0 Amps
(115V X 7.0 Amps) =0.805 Watts / hour, which means the blower consumes approximately 0.805 KWT (Kilowatts) X (an average rate of $0.16/ hour of electricity) = $0.13/ hour cost of electricity.
Yes. This means, nothing else may be plugged into the same outlet as the inflatable blower at any time and any other electrical outlets sharing the circuit should be turned off as well.
Ask your favorite fortune teller. If that doesn’t work, give us a call at 469-847-1207 and we will be more than happy to help you out… Please be sure to let us know if you did try your fortune teller first. In that case you may want Hoot’s tarot card service, which is complimentary with any rental, but only ever seems to predict fun times in your children’s future.
